Rinjani Eco Tour – The 3 days 2 nights Lombok Rinjani trek offers one of the most rewarding mountain experiences in Indonesia, combining lush forest trails, volcanic scenery, and panoramic views from the summit of Mount Rinjani. This adventure takes travelers from Senaru village to the crater rim, down to Segara Anak Lake, and finally to the summit before descending through Sembalun.
Your journey begins upon arrival in Lombok. You will be picked up from the airport or any location on the island and transferred to your hotel in Senaru. In the evening, your trekking guide will provide a briefing to ensure you are well prepared for the days ahead.
The first day of trekking begins at 8:00am from the Rinjani Trek Center in Senaru. The trail initially winds through dense tropical forest filled with wildlife and colorful butterflies. A short rest is taken at Pos 2 for tea and biscuits before continuing to Pos 3 for lunch. Afterward, you will climb to the Senaru crater rim at 2,641 meters, where you will camp for the night. From here, you can witness an unforgettable sunset overlooking Bali’s Mount Agung and the smoking cone near Segara Anak Lake.
On the second day, the trek continues with a steep descent to Segara Anak Lake. Trekkers usually spend time swimming in the hot springs, known for their relaxing warm waters. After lunch by the lake, the climb resumes toward the Sembalun crater rim at 2,639 meters, which serves as the summit campsite. Dinner is served here, and the night is spent resting before the early ascent.
The final day begins at 2:30am with a light breakfast before starting the climb to the summit at 3:00am. The last section of the trail is steep and covered with loose volcanic gravel, but the reward is spectacular. Reaching the summit at sunrise offers breathtaking views of Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, and the shimmering Segara Anak Lake below. After taking photos and enjoying the moment, the descent continues to Sembalun village for pickup and transfer to your next destination.
